Afropunk is fairly new in South Africa. Having made its debut on 30 and 31 December 2017 with 20 000 people from all over South Africa, the event has become a perfect way for some to enjoy the fireworks and countdowns that lead into a new year.

At the recent Afropunk Festival, we provided an OB in order for them to send to the big screens. We had 5 cameras and a beauty shot, which showed the picturesque Johannesburg skyline. With a great line up that the festival provided, we archived all the footage and ISOs from all the cameras and supplied an ENG crew to catch the feel of the festival.

We interviewed food and other vendors as well as the local artists. Although Joburg weather was rainy, it did not deter festival goers and everyone came out in their punk chic and the crowd went wild when King Tha AKA Thandiswa Mazwai blessed them with a stellar performance in the rain.

All in all, we had a fabulous time and were honored to work in one of the biggest festivals in summer. We cannot wait for the 2019 edition.
